and 24/7 residential, and housing options for young adult’s ages 18-21 that qualify.

Valley Behavioral Health: Provides therapy for people of all ages who
are experiencing serious mental illnesses, substance use disorders and

Family Support Center: Provides counseling, family mentoring, free

Salt Lake County Division of Youth Services: Free counseling and
substance abuse services, after school programs, job training, and

The Children’s Center: Provides psychiatric evaluations, mental health
services, parenting classes, and services for youth and their families.

Grief Services:
Primary Children’s Medical Center-Grief Support Groups: Provides
monthly parent support groups and school age child groups.

Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP): Provides comprehensive
health insurance to eligible Utah Children.
Utah Partners for Health: Provides primary care services for all ages,
linking families to specialists via mobile and clinic outreach for low and no-cost.
Community Health Centers: Provides primary health care to low income

Salt Lake Valley Health Department: Provides preventative health
services to residents of Salt Lake County, particularly to low income

Teen Health Clinic: Part of the University of Utah Health Care System.
Medical services provided specifically to teens.
Multicultural Services:
Asian Association of Utah Refugee Immigrant Center: Provides
language specific social services.
Refugee Health Program: Health care referrals for refugees.
Catholic Community Services: Provides a variety of social services
to those in need.
Urban Indian Center: Services include help with finding work,
assistance with health care, mental health care, and other needs.
Emergency Food, Shelter and Clothing Assistance:
Crossroads Urban Center: Provides emergency food pantry, and
free/low cost thrift store.
The Road Home: Homeless shelter for individuals and families.
Weigand Homeless Day Center: Offers services for the homeless,
showers, laundry facilities, haircuts, a library and includes agencies
offering job, medical, mental health, and legal services.
Salt Lake Community Action Program (CAP): Provides employment
assistance, weatherization, food assistance, housing assistance,
head start programs, and utility assistance.
Utah Food Bank: Granite Park Jr. High is a Utah Food Bank site.

Head Start: Programs are offered for children ages 0-5, participants learn in a classroom setting, have access to health and nutrition services. Home-based and Prenatal services are also available.
