Utah Community Action's mission is to empower individuals, strengthen families and build communities through self-sufficiency and education programs.
HEAD START
Programs are offered for children ages 0-5, participants learn in a classroom setting, have access to health and nutrition services. Home-based and Prenatal services are also available.
CASE MANAGEMENT & HOUSING
Programs are targeted towards the community's most vulnerable populations to obtain or maintain safe, stable and affordable housing.
ADULT EDUCATION
Programs are aimed at adults seeking skills and education to bolster their families' economic security. Classes focus on English as a second language, GED preparation, vocational preparation, and certification.
WEATHERIZATION
This program provides safe, energy-efficient upgrades to homes of low-income members of the community.
NUTRITION
Their comprehensive nutrition programs provide services to individuals and families ranging from infants to the elderly.
HEAT
Their program offers utility assistance to low-income households in Salt Lake and Tooele counties.
